Role: Manufacturing Quality Technician

The Quality Technician ensures product conformity and compliance with internal and external quality & food safety standards, conducting checks and testing of raw, in-process, and finished products.

Job Details:

Schedule: 1pm - 9:30pm (Mon - Fri, OT and weekends as needed)

Responsibilities:

1. Perform quality sampling and analysis during production, report variances and non-conformities
2. Analyze incoming, in-process, and finished materials using standardized procedures
3. Uphold safety practices and report hazards
4. Isolate and document non-conforming ingredients or products
5. Follow work instructions related to Quality, Environment, Safety, and Food Safety
6. Support ISO-GFSI, FDA-FSMA compliance, and food safety programs; stop production if necessary
7. Monitor sanitation and personal hygiene per GMPs
8. Monitor and troubleshoot water and wastewater treatment systems
9. Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs
10. Develop technical and personal skills for a world-class manufacturing environment
11. Review documents for ingredients like HFCS, crystalline fructose, CO2, nitrogen, and caustic
12. Calibrate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot systems
13. Assist with projects as designated by QA management

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related discipline preferred
3. 2+ years of Food Plant Quality Assurance experience required
4. Production experience may substitute for QA experience or proficiency in Quality Systems
5. Strong analytical and scientific skills with attention to detail
6. Familiarity with lab safety and hazardous materials handling
7. Ability to communicate effectively in English
8. Ability to maintain detailed records
