Job description

Inside the Role

TheField Quality Team (FQT) Lead role within the Product Reliability organization serves as a technical project manager for field quality topics. The role is to lead cross-functional teams to identify the most critical field issues, analyze trends, open and manage FRACAS investigations, and elevate technical concerns to the appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs). They collect claim and product information, summarize data, lead internal structured problem-solving activities, drive action item execution, support training and deployment efforts, and maintain visibility through leadership forums to help prevent recurrence and improve customer satisfaction.

The FQT Lead will work within a team of fellow FQT Leads and will focus on a specific portion of the vehicle. They will also own unique tertiary responsibilities, such as company and team reporting on quality, FRACAS tool and process ownership, Rate Planning, report out forums, etc.

The Product Reliability organization identifies customer-facing quality issues and coordinates problem-solving initiatives to improve customer experience and DTNA bottom line. This position directly supports the GO2030 imperative of “Total Cost of Quality” by ensuring our customers receive the best quality trucks by improving warranty fault rates and costs on current vocational and on-highway products.
