Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and sustain manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements while improving quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–8 years of related work experience.
  • GMP, IS09000, and AS9100 knowledge.
  • Experience in mechanical, process or product engineering with manufacturing automation preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting to external parties and training stakeholders.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Defines, characterizes and leads implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Applies engineering validation principles to process design and sustainability.
  • Develops processes to be trouble free with zero defects objectives.
  • Supports concurrent engineering by participating in design development projects.
  • Designs and documents procedures for process control, testing and inspection.
  • Establishes metrics for monitoring process effectiveness and quality decisions.
  • Performs root-cause analysis and problem-solving using quality tools including 3 Leg 5 Why.
  • Establishes data collection to predict trends affecting quality and CpK targets.
  • Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality.
