Job summary

BlueScope North America is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and govern comprehensive quality systems across BBNA operations. You will lead root-cause analysis, CAPA, and process-improvement efforts to reduce defects and cost of quality.

Responsibilities include audits, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams to elevate product and process performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing quality engineering, quality systems or industrial roles.
• Experience with quality management systems, auditing and CAPA processes.
• Proficient in statistical methods for process control and capability analysis.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, govern and standardize quality systems across BBNA manufacturing operations.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA to eliminate recurring issues.
• Improve process control and product capability with data-driven actions.
• Coordinate internal, customer and third-party audits and closures.
• Drive supplier quality improvements with cross-functional teams.
