Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer / Process FMA Specialist to support Ford's PTME and Global Quality organizations. You will improve manufacturing system performance, strengthen quality processes, and support launches across powertrain manufacturing operations.

The role requires PFMEAs, Control Plans, APQP experience, and hands-on problem solving (3L5Y, 8D, A3). Travel to plants is expected, with compensation around $46/hr and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with quality focus.
• Hands-on PFMEA creation, review and updates.
• Extensive control plan development and maintenance experience.
• APQP experience in manufacturing operations.
• Root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Proficient in 3L5Y, 8D, and A3 problem solving.
• Six Sigma DMAIC experience and belt certification preferred.
• Familiar with Ford quality processes and systems (MIDAS/FEDE/GPDS).
• Knowledge of GD&T and CAD tools (AutoCAD) required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Lead root-cause investigations using structured methods.
• Drive permanent corrective actions and improvements.
• Support launch quality reviews and warranty investigations.
• Identify recurring failure modes and risks for mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality initiatives.
• Update quality tools, training materials, and reporting.
• Analyze data to improve process robustness.
• Travel to manufacturing plants to support launches and deep-dives.
