Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for its Grand Rapids manufacturing site. You will lead containment and root cause analysis of quality issues, drive corrective actions, and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to enhance product quality.

The role requires 3+ years in QA/QC in manufacturing, a related bachelor’s degree, and preferred CQE/CQA/Green Belt certification. Strong data analytics, SPC knowledge, and willingness to travel 10% are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline.
• Certification in quality management (CQE/CQA/Green Belt) preferred to be obtained within first year.
• 3+ years of hands-on QA or QA/QC experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM) and quality systems (ISO 9001, SPC, Control Plans, RCA).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues with containment and resolution.
• Lead or support structured problem solving (RCA, 8D) and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to improve process performance.
• Monitor and report quality metrics, ensuring data accuracy and trend analysis.
• Maintain site-level quality processes and support audits, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce variability and improve quality.
