Job summary

The Bachrach Group is seeking a Quality Engineer - Manufacturing for SE Alabama. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Quality/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 5+ years in quality and manufacturing. You will lead ISO audits, implement SPC, develop control plans, and train CNC personnel in inspection techniques.

Responsibilities include project leadership, supplier grading, MRB participation, and continuous improvement to reduce cost and variation across products. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in quality, mechanical, or industrial engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of quality and manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO audits and reporting findings.
• Develop programs, processes and metrics for quality initiatives.
• Strong project management, planning and scheduling experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge; certification helpful but not required.
• Develop supplier rating systems to support supply chain.
• Experience with SPC and process troubleshooting.
• Continuous improvement to reduce cost and variation.
• Create control plans and inspection procedures.
• Train CNC personnel in inspection techniques.
• ITAR requires a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal ISO audits, document and report findings.
• Develop, maintain programs, processes and metrics that support quality initiatives.
• Experience with project management, leading projects, planning and scheduling.
• Lead SPC implementation and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Create control plans, checklists and define inspection procedures.
• Train CNC personnel in inspection techniques.
• Establish gauging requirements for all products.
• Participate in MRB activities.
• Support supply chain by developing and maintaining supplier rating systems.
• Continuously improve to reduce cost and process variation.
