Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer III to lead quality initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure reliability across manufacturing. You’ll liaise between manufacturing and quality teams to advance product quality and process capability.

The role requires 5–7 years in quality engineering within electrical manufacturing, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency in quality tools and data analytics. On-site in Chicago, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
• Proficient with quality tools (Gage, R&R, MSA, SPC, DOE) and data analytics.
• Strong project management, communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute quality improvement projects to address manufacturing quality issues.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and develop solutions.
• Support major problem-solving efforts related to production quality.
• Contribute to COPQ reduction and root cause analysis.
• Review prints and acceptance criteria for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Develop and refine manufacturing processes to reduce defects.
• Provide quality support to operations and cross-functional teams.
