Job summary

All-Plastics LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing and quality departments by establishing inspection guidelines and analyzing data that affect products and processes. The role involves reviewing defects, MRB disposition, updating documentation, and maintaining control plans and FMEA/PPAP artifacts.

The position requires reading blueprints, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and tooling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Four-year college preferred; experience in injection molding.
• Ability to read blueprints and document control plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Operations and Quality by establishing product inspection guidelines and analyzing data.
• Review daily rejects or complaints and implement action plans.
• Disposition in-process rejected product from previous day (MRB) if required.
• Modify documentation to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
• Modify fixtures or inspection methods and tools as needed.
• Create/Modify and maintain Control Plans.
• Make quality-related decisions as appropriate.
• Communicate with customers verbally/written as needed.
• Create/maintain FMEA's, Control Plans, Validation Plans, IQ/OQ/PQ, PPAPs as appropriate.
• Participate in design reviews as required.
• Attend plant/department meetings and tours as required.
• Review PPAP, FAIR, Validation Data, and Capabilities studies before sending to customer.
• Develop corrective actions (CAPA's) and continuous improvement activities with Eng, MFG and Tooling.
• Report unsafe conditions to Managers or Directors.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and quality measuring equipment.
• Observe health and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Program and maintain Metrology equipment.
• Ensure consistent inspection methods; update procedures as needed.
• Maintain inspection records/reports.
• Monitor, manage, and maintain all Sonic Welder equipment.
• Maintain FIFO compliance.
• Serve as a MRB member.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
