Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to provide technical support to achieve effective operational control, compliance and continuous improvement in our high‑precision manufacturing environment.

  • Associate degree with 4+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with manufacturing operations entities to ensure inspections, process control analyses and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications
  • Investigating customer escapes and performs 8D/7Step problem solving analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Developing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes and procedures
  • Working with customers to define and investigate customer disruption issues.
  • Developing programs to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and agency guidelines
  • Providing expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, procedures, regulatory/governmental regulations and agency guidelines to assure compliance

Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Working Pattern: Onsite 9/80

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

A 9/80 compressed work week means an employee works 80 hours over nine days in a two‑week period. Generally, this means working nine hours Monday ‑ Thursday, with alternating eight‑hour Fridays and “off” Fridays

Basic Requirements:
  • Associate degree with 4+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience, OR
  • Master’s degree, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 6+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
  • Green Belt certified
  • SAP experience
  • 8D problem solving experience
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
  • Power Bi experience
Mental & Physical Requirements:
  • Lift 50bs
  • Pass vision test
