Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Quality to lead QE/QA and QC across multiple sites. You will drive robust quality planning, inspection standards, and process controls that prevent defects and ensure release-ready products.

You will partner with Engineering, NPDI, and Operations to embed quality early in design and production, manage calibration and traceability, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; 10+ years in manufacturing quality with leadership across QA/QE/QC.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality-system certification.
• Proven track record in structured problem solving (8D, CAPA, Lean, Six Sigma, Shainin).
• Experience with ERP and electronic QMS or quality data systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the manufacturing quality strategy across all Panelmatic sites.
• Lead QE activities to prevent defects and drive quality planning and control plans.
• Partner with Engineering/NPDI to embed quality requirements before production release.
• Establish FAI, process qualification, and production-readiness for new/changed products.
• Drive corrective actions (8D, CAPA) and verify sustained effectiveness.
• Lead audits, QA risk reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and documentation.
• Ensure traceability, hold/release controls, and NCR/MRB processes.
• Coach and develop the Manufacturing Quality organization (Site Quality Managers, QE, QC staff).
• Balance quality with delivery/cost/risk in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and QMS governance across sites.
