Job summary

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Manufacturing QA Technician to join their team in Richmond, CA. You will support the Quality Control Department to ensure the safety and quality of our food products.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related science or 6+ years of experience, HACCP and PCQI certifications, and strong data integrity and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related science field or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• HACCP and PCQI certifications are required.
• Knowledge of microbiological, physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing methods.
• Ability to follow SOPs and GMPs diligently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sampling, testing, plating, reading and recording product test results accurately.
• Troubleshooting out-of-specification results to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintaining detailed daily records and ensuring data integrity for QA processes.
• Following QC hold procedures for products not meeting specifications.
• Participating in continuous improvement and HACCP team activities.

Job Title: Manufacturing QA Technician

Pay Range: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

What's the Job?

• Sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results accurately.
• Troubleshooting out-of-specification results to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintaining detailed daily records and ensuring data integrity for quality assurance processes.
• Following QC hold procedures for products that do not meet specifications.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and supporting HACCP team activities.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related science field, or at least 6 years of relevant experience if no degree.
• HACCP and PCQI certifications are required.
• Knowledge of microbiological, physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing methods.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMPs diligently.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
