Job summary

Leapros, Inc. is actively seeking a Purchasing Assistant for our Batavia, IL facility. The role supports the Purchasing Team in evaluating vendors, managing purchase orders, coordinating stock, and maintaining ERP records. A hands-on manufacturing purchasing background and ERP proficiency are preferred.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 to $52,000 annually, based on experience and internal equity. Monday–Friday workweek with typical office duties in Batavia.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ERP software experience in a professional setting.
• 1+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and basic ERP usage.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple purchasing tasks and vendor relations.
• Able to work in an office environment with typical sitting/standing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new vendors to identify pricing, quality, and lead-time improvements.
• Secure three competitive quotes before purchasing and issue POs as required.
• Issue POs for job-specific raw materials and parts as directed by shop/engineering teams.
• Coordinate with Sales and Planning to manage parts for stock.
• Follow up with vendors on POs to ensure on-time delivery and mitigate issues.
• Assist in ERP system training for new personnel.
