BLUvera, Mortenson's manufacturing and fabrication arm, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations on a growing site in Saint Paul, MN. You will coordinate and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft teams to ensure work is safe, productive, and built to high quality standards.

You’ll partner with operations and project leadership to plan work, manage resources, and resolve issues, while mentoring team members and driving safety, schedule, and compliance

Formación

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 7 years trade experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability.
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
• Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan and lead the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents.
• Conduct on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetings.
• Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and dismiss craft team members as needed.
• Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members.
• Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivity.
• Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussions.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance.
• Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members.
• Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
