Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson’s manufacturing arm, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations on site, coordinating assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft teams to ensure safe, productive work. You will partner with operations and project leadership to plan, allocate resources, and maintain schedules while fostering cross-organizational relationships.

The role offers hands-on leadership as BLUvera scales manufacturing capabilities, implements new processes, and delivers

Qualifications

• Must have a construction-related degree (Assoc./Bachelors) and strong leadership experience.
• Minimum 3 years of construction management or related experience.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and coordinate with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with ability to organize tasks and monitor progress.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement materials, equipment, and inspections to support the project schedule.
• Review drawings and specs for completeness and constructability.
• Coordinate plans with design engineers and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and manage three- and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead site logistics and utilize Mortenson tools and equipment.
• Supervise craft teams; interview, hire, and manage personnel as needed.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and ensure performance feedback.
