We offer a fast-paced, technology-driven workplace where high-energy professionals can build the physical infrastructure of the future. If you thrive in a forward-moving atmosphere and want to grow at the speed of the AI revolution, this is the place to define your career.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Project Manager will serve as the primary technical and operational bridge between our established Asia-based manufacturing centers and our new production facility. As the central coordinator, you will lead efforts to keep project milestones on track, working closely with all internal departments to make sure everyone is working toward the same goal. You will be responsible for localizing production processes while maintaining high global quality standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Create and maintain a detailed project plan that outlines every phase of the manufacturing line transfer from Asia.
  • Monitor critical project dates and deadlines to ensure the facility launch remains on schedule.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks in the transfer process and develop backup plans to prevent delays.
  • Ensure all necessary tools, jigs, and fixtures are accounted for, shipped, and properly calibrated at the new site before production begins.
  • Oversee the decommissioning of machinery in Asia and the successful installation and setup in the plant.
  • Ensure all technical manuals, drawings, and work instructions are accurately transferred and updated for the new site.
  • Coordinate with the Asia-based team to ensure a smooth hand-off of technical knowledge and hardware.
  • Serve as the primary link between the Asia team, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, QA, Facility, and Finance to ensure all departments are fully aligned on project needs.
  • Ensure all newly installed equipment and processes meet OSHA and local safety regulations.
  • Partner with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available for the new line’s start date.
  • Prepare the manufacturing lines for internal and external quality audits during and after the setup.
  • Document "lessons learned" during the transfer to improve future manufacturing expansion projects.
  • Provide regular progress updates to executive leadership regarding the status of the new manufacturing site.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience managing manufacturing projects, cross-functional programs, or product lifecycle initiatives will also be considered.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience managing complex projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience managing new product development and manufacturing programs from concept, design, and NPI through mass production and product end-of-life (EOL).
  • Strong proficiency in Lean principles, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma.
  • In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and manufacturing compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation, testing, and validation of factory machinery.
  • Competency in identifying project risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership and instructing floor staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system and project management software.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams across different departments like Supplier, Production, QA, and Engineering without direct authority.
  • Sensitivity and skill in working across different cultures and time zones, especially between the U.S. and Asia.
  • Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and English to facilitate technical discussions and prevent communication gaps between the Asia team and the U.S. team.
  • Starting with 15 paid vacation days in the first year
  • 11 paid corporate holidays + 5 bonus holidays
  • 5 paid sick leave days per year
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans
  • Advanced health plan options with employer-subsidized out-of-pocket premiums
  • Company-sponsored Life Insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Employment type: Full Time
  • Location: On-site at Fremont, CA
