Job summary

RAM Windows & Doors is seeking a Manufacturing & Project Engineer to lead lean manufacturing projects and improve throughput. You will work with the Vice President of Production and multiple teams to reduce labor cost per unit and shorten lead times.

The role requires practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, one-piece flow, 5S, and standard work, plus strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and the ability to read drawings and BOMs. Houston-based, on-site work.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and BOMs.
• Experience with capacity analyses and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional manufacturing improvement projects.
• Develop capacity models based on labor, equipment, cycle times, and product mix.
• Prepare project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and ROI calculations.
• Coordinate with Production, Materials, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance.
