Job summary

MAPEI Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering and Operations team in West Chicago, IL. You will support planning, design, installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of plant equipment, processes, and facilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute capital projects, improve efficiency, and advance our manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field required; equivalent combination considered.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Project Manager to define project scope, develop budgets, coordinate permitting, and establish execution plans.
• Manage assigned projects to ensure completion on schedule, within budget, and per specifications.
• Monitor project performance and provide updates on status, risks, timelines, and expenditures.
• Coordinate and review CAD drawings, equipment layouts, and design modifications.
• Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and contractors for successful projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices; recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Adhere to MAPEI policies and EHS procedures.
