Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL, is seeking multiple Manufacturing Project Engineers to lead large-scale manufacturing projects within the Earthmoving Division. You will focus on safety, quality, velocity, and cost improvements while coordinating with CPPD, design, and operations teams.
Expect cross-facility collaboration, global site engagement, and opportunities to apply new manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital manufacturing standards across programs.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering design for production.
- Ability to plan, organize, monitor and control large projects.
- Experience with digital manufacturing and modern systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level manufacturing projects across Earthmoving product groups.
- Drive adoption of modern manufacturing systems and digital threads across facilities.
- Serve in CPPD, linking engineering, manufacturing and operations.
- Collaborate with design engineering to integrate manufacturing requirements.
- Lead Design for Modern Manufacturing initiatives and smart tooling design.
- Support New Product Introduction and emerging technology integration.
- Collaborate with leaders across global Earthmoving facilities.
