Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Sample Project Coordinator to support our bedding manufacturing operations. You will coordinate samples and pilot runs, manage documentation, and partner with New Product Development and Production to drive process improvements.

You will collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Marketing to ensure timely status updates and data collection, supporting our Triad Process and Branch One initiatives. This role emphasizes teamwork and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes used by Leggett & Platt.
• Understanding of computer systems and customer relations.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to exemplify a cooperative attitude necessary to work with all departments and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate samples, FAA’s, Beta Runs, and PPAPs with cross-functional teams.
• Provide status updates in production readiness meetings and samples calls.
• Ensure data collection packets and engineering packets are prepared for running of samples.
• Assist in converting temporary product specifications to ISO 9001:2015 controlled documents.
• Aid in optimizing the effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
• Assist Marketing in developing value-added features of the product.
• Evaluate new operators after EOJT training to ensure quality checks.
• Cover Quality Technician duties during vacations or when samples are not running.
