The Manufacturing Programs Manager owns the governance, planning, and execution of manufacturing programs across one or more sites and production disciplines. This role establishes and maintains program governance frameworks, standardized metrics, and reporting processes to ensure manufacturing programs align with enterprise objectives, capacity strategies, and operational readiness requirements.

This position leads and develops a team of Manufacturing Programs Manager and Associate Managers, Manufacturing Projects responsible for new product introductions, capacity expansions, line launches, facility readiness, process changes, and other strategic manufacturing initiatives. The manager drives cross-functional collaboration with Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology to deliver all required outputs for successful program execution.

The Manager, Manufacturing Programs oversees integration of new capital equipment, technologies, systems, and workflows into manufacturing operations and provides feedback to engineering and business teams to improve manufacturability, operational efficiency, and process flow. The role promotes structured decision making, Lean principles, and change management methods to ensure sustainable implementation of new processes, technologies, and operating models.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree required in any related field of study. Master's degree preferred

Experience: 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrialized construction, or related field.

Travel: 0-25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing program governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting standards across assigned manufacturing portfolios.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic manufacturing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes across multiple plants, product lines, and operational disciplines.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks across manufacturing programs, maintaining RAID logs, driving corrective actions, and escalating when necessary.
  • Provide regular executive-level reporting on manufacturing program status, risks, financials, benefits, and key decisions.
  • Lead and develop a team of Managers, Manufacturing Projects and Associate Managers, Manufacturing Projects responsible for NPIs, capacity expansions, new operations, line launches, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional manufacturing support teams including Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology to deliver all required outputs for each initiative and launch plan.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing infrastructure and capacity plans that support long-term sales forecasts and business growth.
  • Oversee integration of new capital equipment, systems, and technologies into existing or new manufacturing operations, leading cross-functional delivery across all manufacturing and ancillary teams.
  • Lead investigation and recommendation of new technologies and process improvements that improve productivity, quality, safety, visibility, and ergonomics.
  • Provide key insight and feedback into engineering for Design for Manufacturability and process readiness to improve operational efficiency and reduce rework, scrap, and implementation risk.
  • Lead key manufacturing financial objectives, including management of CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery from strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Support design and development of methodologies to track and understand quality concerns within manufacturing processes and ensure feedback into product and process improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and business technology to bring visibility to manufacturing process flow and operational KPIs through dashboards and standard reporting.
  • Facilitate structured decision making using Choosing By Advantages or similar methods for layouts, equipment, process, and technology selections.
  • Drive the application of Lean principles into daily management and all related deliverables, systems, and processes.
  • Facilitate adoption of new systems, processes, and projects through strong use of change management methods such as ADKAR.
  • Support the bid and proposal process by providing manufacturing inputs on capacity, timelines, risks, cost, and technology recommendations.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
