Overview
Manufacturing Production Technician Job Description: Set up, test, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment, using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.
Responsibilities
- Clean production equipment or work areas.
- Clean scrap materials for recycling or reuse, such as preparing aluminum scrap for cold-bonding processes or preparing paper for pulping or ink removal processes.
- Measure and record data associated with operating equipment.
- Select cleaning materials, tools, or equipment.
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies.
Knowledge and Skills
- Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly.
- Monitoring: Assessing performance of yourself, others, or organizations to improve or take corrective action.
