Job summary

HarbisonWalker International is hiring a Manufacturing Production Technician to support safe refractory product manufacturing, including forming, finishing, and packaging. The role covers setting up and operating equipment, transporting materials to presses, and moving finished goods to storage or trailers.

You will help maintain product quality within customer tolerances, keep the work area clean, and foster professional relations with coworkers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some manufacturing experience is helpful.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Understanding of basic safety/OSHA standards.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Two to four years of machine operating or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit and observe manufacturing processes to ensure quality; own Quality Control compliance for the area and keep logs.
• Operate and program presses, setters, pickers, scales and bearing equipment; move bricks and materials as prescribed.
• Operate transport machinery to deliver materials to presses and move finished goods to storage or trailers; clean and prepare kiln cars as needed.
• Promote and uphold a safe work environment and drive a strong safety culture.
• Analyze equipment performance and problems and coordinate resources to resolve issues quickly.
