Job summary

Accurate Personnel in Chicago, IL is hiring a Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

You will read and follow job travelers, blueprints, and production orders, assist with inventory and materials staging, and help ensure safety and quality on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math skills including measuring and counting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment.
• Experience using a job management or ERP system.
• Knowledge of basic safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and finishing of display products according to job travelers and work instructions.
• Read and follow job travelers, blueprints, and production orders accurately.
• Support floor leadership and senior staff as directed.
• Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets specifications and customer standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production floor in accordance with 5S standards.
• Properly handle, stage, and move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to the Production Manager promptly.
• Record production counts, material usage, and time accurately in the shop management system.
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and materials staging as needed.
• Comply with all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
