Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a Production Assistant to support the VP of Manufacturing and plant managers. This role handles production data, labor tracking, payroll accuracy, and work order processing, ensuring efficient operations on site.

You will manage document control, training matrices, apprenticeship compliance, and liaison among production, HR, staffing agencies, and regulators. On-site, you will adapt to both office and shop floor tasks while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production administrative role preferred.
• Experience working in an ERP or manufacturing system environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain production information throughout the facility, i.e., performance metrics.
• Process work orders (create, open, print, distribute, close, and archive) for Production activities.
• Support reconciliation of labor variances and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain and track shop floor team members' attendance records.
• Process labor hours report for staffing company personnel.
• Support and maintain employee records in IFS
• Ensuring newly hired employees are assigned to their positions
• Timely termination of employees from IFS
• Adding/terminating temporary employees in IFS
• Providing administrative support to help ensure workforce information and employee records in IFS remain accurate, complete and current.
• Identifying and communicate timekeeping, attendance, or employee-record discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
• Establish and maintain Manufacturing document control systems.
• Maintain skill level and training matrices.
• Maintain job performance reviews and skill level I - III advancements.
• Manage communication and maintain compliance documentation for the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) apprenticeship program.
• Track apprenticeship hours and reporting deadlines.
• Serve as liaison between RK Mission Critical, apprentices, supervisors, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist supervisors and managers with administrative training requirements and certifications.
• Assist in coordinating in-house events, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Support onboarding documentation for new shop floor team members.
• Execute production priorities as directed by the VP of Manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned to support Manufacturing operations and organizational growth.
