Job summary

Wickeder Group │ Engineered Materials Solutions in Massachusetts seeks a skilled Product/Parts Engineer to join our manufacturing team, providing direct product engineering support for clad metal stamped products and assemblies.

You will own technical responsibility for a portfolio, champion root-cause analyses, support quality improvements, and collaborate across manufacturing and sales to drive cost reduction and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• BSME/MSME and 3–5 years related experience required.
• Experience with high-volume progressive die stamping and part production processes required.
• Knowledge of metal processing (welding, soldering, brazing, plating) preferred.
• SolidWorks or similar design software preferred.
• Basic knowledge of strip metal processing and material science beneficial.
• Demonstrate ability to solve complex product quality and process problems.
• Good business knowledge to understand and improve product quality and manufacturing costs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a diverse manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Product Engineering support to clad metal stamped products and assemblies.

• Interface with external customers to support production problems and new opportunities; support field sales efforts.
• Assist commercial team with technical evaluation of new opportunities, costing, sampling, and process development.

Engineered Materials Solutions is seeking a skilled Product/Parts Engineer to join our manufacturing team.

Position Summary:

Provide direct Product Engineering function and technical support to clad metal stamped products and assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Assume technical responsibility for a portfolio of clad thermostat metal products.
• Responsible for internal and out-going product quality. Champion root cause / corrective action analyses. Analyze quality trends and identify/execute continuous improvement programs
• Identify and implement quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement programs to eliminate waste and/or improve yields
• Interface with all levels of the organization from direct support of manufacturing operators to upper levels of management
• Timely support of manufacturing operations and personnel to resolve production and quality issues
• Apply sound engineering judgment based on statistical analysis of data and fact to solve complex material, process capability, and equipment problems
• Interface with external customers in support of production problems, application problems, and new business opportunities. Make sales calls with Field Representative in support of customers and new business opportunities
• Support commercial team with technical evaluation of new business opportunities, product costing, sampling, process development, and production startup
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a very diverse and dynamic manufacturing environment

Education and Experience:

• BSME/MSME and 3 to 5 years related experience is required
• Experience with high volume progressive die stamping and part production processes is a must
• Knowledge of common metal processing and manufacturing techniques such as welding, soldering, brazing, plating is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar design software is preferred
• Basic knowledge of strip metal processing and material science is beneficial.

• Good business knowledge and the ability to understand and improve product quality and manufacturing costs.
