Job summary

Aegis is seeking two experienced procurement professionals to support a manufacturing team on a temporary engagement (4–6 months). You’ll handle hands-on SAP purchasing, including MRP-driven planning and end-to-end PO activity, while expediting to avoid production delays and coordinating with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Accounting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong, practical SAP experience in procurement.
• Proficient with Outlook, Teams and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on purchasing in SAP, including MRP-driven planning and execution.
• End-to-end buying: create/place POs, obtain confirmations, monitor deliveries.
• Proactive expediting and issue resolution with vendors to keep lines running.
• Interpret MRP outputs to determine material requirements and timing.
• Navigate SAP T-codes to move work forward quickly.

About the assignmentAegis is hiring two experienced procurement professionals to support our client on a temporary engagement lasting approximately 4–6 months. You’ll be embedded with a manufacturing team and immediately contribute on day one. Aegis provides paid sick leave, and contractor benefits become available after 90 days.Your first weeks — a day-in-the-lifePicture your morning: you open SAP, run MRP, and review exception messages to see what needs to be bought and when. You map needs to the right suppliers, create and place purchase orders, and secure vendor confirmations. As production schedules shift, you expedite critical materials, track open orders, and clear roadblocks with suppliers. Throughout the day you coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Production, and Accounting/AP, keeping everyone aligned and issues resolved quickly.
