Job summary

Aegis Worldwide seeks a hands-on Buyer to join its stable manufacturing environment. You’ll manage the full purchasing cycle in SAP/MRP, from requisitions through delivery, ensuring materials are available to keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, monitor orders, and report procurement performance. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of buying experience and strong Excel, communication, and ownership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and convert requirements into purchase orders through MRP.
• Create, place, confirm, and manage purchase orders.
• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate MRP requirements to determine what materials to purchase and when.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory and analyze backorders, cost variances, and supplier fulfillment issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supply chain data within SAP/ERP systems.
• Calculate and report key inventory and procurement performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting/AP, and suppliers.

You’ll be part of a collaborative procurement team supporting direct purchasing and ensuring materials are available to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Buyer who is comfortable working in SAP/MRP, managing suppliers, and taking ownership of the purchasing process from purchase order creation through delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Review purchase requisitions and convert requirements into purchase orders through MRP.
• Create, place, confirm, and manage purchase orders.
• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time material delivery.
• Evaluate MRP requirements to determine what materials need to be purchased and when.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve supply, purchasing, and invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory and analyze backorders, cost variances, and supplier fulfillment issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supply chain data within SAP/ERP systems.
• Calculate and report key inventory and procurement performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting/AP, and suppliers.

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ year of Buyer/purchasing experience.
• Manufacturing purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on SAP experience within purchasing/procurement, including MRP.
• Ability to identify and work with SAP transaction codes (T-codes).
• Experience managing the full purchasing process, including POs, vendor confirmations, expediting, and issue resolution.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have:

3+ years of buying experience, advanced Excel skills, experience purchasing materials/components from outside vendors, or previous contract/project experience.

A degree is not required—relevant Buyer and SAP experience are the priority.
