Crane Co. is seeking a Buyer to purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for our manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate across departments to translate requirements into timely purchases and maintain strong supplier relationships. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in business and 3+ years in buying for manufacturing, with excellent Excel and MS Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business.
• Preferred 3+ years of buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with departments throughout the organization.
• Excel, MS Office, HFM and NetSuite knowledge preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to translate requirements into purchases.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain favorable terms.
• Process purchase orders and track/expedite orders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and lead times through alternate parts/suppliers.
• Maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
