We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite Manufacturing Process Technician & Technical Writerto join our dynamic manufacturing team in Tempe, AZ!

We're looking for a highly capable and technically adept Manufacturing Process Technician & Technical Writerto champion our manufacturing processes from start to finish. This role demands a high level of skill in setting up, optimizing, and monitoring production, alongside a strategic mindset for identifying and implementing process improvements. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and possess the unique ability to translate complex engineering data into clear, procurable bills of materials, this is your opportunity to drive tangible results on the factory floor.


The day-to-day

  • Create detailed assembly instructions for manufacturing hardware and testing equipment.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from releasing initial hardware to the factory floor to the final finished product.
  • Develop and implement production plans and best practices for the manufacturing floor.
  • Utilize advanced technical expertise to set up, modify, optimize, and monitor all production processes.
  • Analyze current process flows to identify and implement improvements that reduce turnaround times and increase efficiency.
  • Recommend tooling and process adjustments for both new and existing product lines.
  • Convert engineering parts lists into complete bills of materials (BOMs), including internal and supplier part numbers, and identify alternate suppliers.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in writing detailed assembly work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in documentation.
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Hands-on experience assembling hardware.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving process issues in a technical setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Highly responsible and accountable for meeting deadlines and fulfilling duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and departments.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this U.S. Government position.

What will help you on the job

  • Experience with highly precise assembly, such as microelectronics or space flight hardware.
  • Previous experience using an ERP system, specifically Oracle or SAP, is a plus.

Salary range

$32.69 - $51.68 / hourly.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $40.63 - $60.82/ hourly
