Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services is seeking a Manufacturing Process Technician to operate at the heart of our production processes. You will develop setups, train staff, and drive improvements in efficiency while collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers on project implementations.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing experience and strong NC machine operation skills, with lean background preferred, and solid math and drawing interpretation abilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience required; lean background preferred.
  • Proficiency in NC machine operation with VMC or HMC experience is a plus.
  • Fundamental computer skills and strong mathematics capabilities are expected.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings with ease.
  • Clear conversational English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and confirm setups, fixtures, and programs for NC and offline machinery.
  • Provide training for machine setup and operation to production staff.
  • Support in the identification and resolution of machining issues.
  • Drive improvements in processes and efficiency.
  • Create models for new parts and revisions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on project implementation.
  • Assist and mentor team members in hitting project milestones.
  • Maintain and manage the tool crib and consumable stock.
  • Contribute to layout designs for optimizing equipment flow and material handling.
  • Keep engineering workspace clean and well-organized.
  • Deliver quality work that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • Be adaptable in schedule and tasks, supporting cross-departmental needs.
