Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Production Support Engineer to back our manufacturing operations. You will apply engineering techniques to improve processes, reduce downtime, and support safety, quality and cost objectives across the assigned area.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness of new products, resolve problems at the root cause, and promote continuous growth and professional development in the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree requirements: Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience with manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support process development, optimization and reduction of downtime in manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in ensuring readiness of new products and processes and address safety and quality problems.
• Develop knowledge of all workstations and remove barriers to team effectiveness.
