Job summary

Novanta is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to optimize our manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities on the shop floor.

In this role, you will conduct root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, run tests to validate processes, and train production staff on new equipment and procedures to sustain high standards of performance.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of quality control processes and methodologies.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Conducting equipment maintenance and troubleshooting and providing technical support to production teams
• Performing root cause analysis on manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions
• Conducting tests and experiments to validate and verify manufacturing processes
• Training production staff on new processes and equipment, developing an maintaining manufacturing documentation
