Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Willing and able to work a 12 hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on short notice call-in as needed by the business.
• Willing and able to lift 55 lbs regularly; climb stairs, ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, reach overhead; and wear PPE (steel-toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex, protective eyewear, face shield, respirator).
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines, using computer systems or semi-automatic equipment.
• Load raw materials, transfer chemicals, package finished product, and operate/troubleshoot process equipment.
• Ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
• Move control settings within operating limits to adjust equipment speeds, quality or yields.
• Monitor recording instruments, flow meters, panel lights, or warning signals to verify process conditions.
• Collaborate with team members and leaders during shifts and hand-overs; identify issues and prepare for next shift.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities; work with others to solve problems.
