Job summary

Benchmade is seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer II to collaborate with operations, maintain value stream maps, and define future-state processes to stabilize and improve manufacturing performance. The role requires strong problem solving, data analysis, and cross-functional communication with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering.

The engineer will help develop and track OEE metrics for work centers, driving continuous improvement and minimizing process noise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering; 3–4 years hands-on experience.
• Proven problem-solving approach and data-driven decision making.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work as a key member of a value stream engineering team to solve manufacturing and/or material issues.
• Lead technical teams through complex problem-solving activities.
• Use DOE and statistical tools to analyze data and control variables.
• Organize tests to isolate and control process variables.
• Identify key input variables, analyze data, and implement process controls to reduce variability.
• Drive root cause analysis for complex issues.
• Support cost reduction through Lean techniques.
