Job summary

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and communicate tooling and processes for current and new products. The role coordinates across engineering, production and vendors to meet project milestones and drive efficiency on the shop floor.

The candidate will design jigs/fixtures, modify tooling for quality improvements, and train operators. CAD documentation and in-house hardware assembly are involved, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or equivalent.
• Experience in machine shop or machine building preferred.
• Experience in basic electronics, wiring, and programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and processes, including tooling for manufacturing new and existing products.
• Provide required documentation to clearly communicate processes to production.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, other internal departments, vendors and customers to achieve project goals.
• Establish design concepts for jigs and fixtures that meet requirements.
• Train production personnel to safely operate new and existing equipment.
• Develop process flowcharts and write process specifications for new and existing equipment.
• Design, build, program and debug controller boxes on in-house equipment.
