Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking an AM Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of manufacturing processes and quality systems. You will own manufacturing documentation, PFMEA, SOPs, process controls, and production readiness, collaborating across Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Operations to ensure repeatable, high-quality parts.

The role focuses on defining routings, control plans, traceability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, or related Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, quality, or production engineering.
• Nadcap special process and audit experience preferred.
• Experience developing SOPs, Work Instructions, routings, and process specifications.
• Experience with PFMEAs, control plans, and process traceability.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems, preferably IFS Cloud, including routings and shop orders.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, travelers, and production workflows in ERP/MES.
• Design and implement process controls for critical parameters and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications.
• Create and maintain Quality Control Plans and PFMEAs for quality.
