Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Specialist – Manufacturing Engineering to support operations in manufacturing and assembly of existing and future products. You will lead process development, document procedures, and drive improvements across safety, efficiency, and quality while collaborating with design, quality, and production teams.

The role requires lean manufacturing, project management, and CAD/ERP proficiency, with travel to suppliers and Anaheim as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years related experience in manufacturing engineering; in lieu of a degree, 8 years experience.
Strong understanding of processes to manufacture and assemble cables/harnesses, magnetics, and electro/mechanical sub-assemblies.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems and product lifecycle management tools.
Proven track record in process improvement and project management.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of manufacturing processes for functionality and cost efficiency.
Document manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Use SPC to analyze trends and drive corrective actions.
Collaborate with design, quality, and production to improve manufacturability.
Lead continuous improvement to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
Analyze processes to identify scalability and cost improvements.
Coordinate with procurement, contracts, planning, program management, and engineering.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot production issues.
Train staff on best practices and process improvements.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for improvements; travel 25% to Anaheim and suppliers.
