Job summary

Our client in Oxford, AL is seeking a Process Engineer to join their engineering team. You will engage in a variety of initiatives—from troubleshooting production issues to supporting capital projects and designing machine components—to improve safety, quality, and productivity on the plant floor.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering with 3–7 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience and a hands-on problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Approximately 3-7 years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve process-related issues to support manufacturing operations.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing challenges.
• Support capital equipment projects, facility improvements, and equipment upgrades.
• Design or modify machine components, tooling, and manufacturing fixtures as needed.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
• Work with operators and production leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Participate in new equipment installations, startup activities, and process validation.
