Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases in North Las Vegas seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer II to own assembly methods, create work instructions, and maintain build records for cryogenic pumps.

You will translate engineering drawings into clear procedures, support on the shop floor with cross‑functional teams, and drive continuous improvements in tooling, sequence, and cleanliness for cryogenic and oxygen service builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, tolerances, and BOMs.
• Practical experience using dimensional inspection tools and documenting measurements.
• Ability to write clear technical instructions and maintain controlled records.
• Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Testing.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, bills of materials, tooling, assembly instructions, and inspection requirements before build to identify missing or unclear information.
• Develop, maintain, and implement assembly procedures, work instructions, build travelers, checklists, and inspection records.
• Define critical assembly steps and propose hold points, acceptance criteria, required measurements, and signoffs with Design Engineering and Quality.
• Provide direct shop floor support during critical operations.
• Capture practical knowledge from experienced assemblers, service personnel, engineers, and suppliers and incorporate it into approved procedures and training.
• Coordinate investigation and disposition of assembly pauses and obtain resolution before resuming.
• Train and coach assemblers on approved methods, drawing requirements, and build.
• Work with Test Engineer to establish assembly readiness for testing and improvements.
• Improve tooling, assembly sequence, and work methods to reduce recurring errors; follow cleanliness procedures for cryogenic/oxygen builds.
• Communicate with vendors and clients.
• Have strong understanding of test instrumentation and control.
• Have strong knowledge of design and CAD drafting practice.
• Interact with engineering teams, sales, and application groups to provide accurate information on manufacturing capabilities.
