Job Location: Logan, UT (onsite work required at the manufacturing facility)

Job Summary

Responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the production line process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and contribute as a member of the Manufacturing Support Group.
• Determine and implement solutions for Sustaining ECOs on company products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors and assemblers/testers to improve assembly procedures.
• Develop and maintain routes, processes, and work instructions.
• Train manufacturing personnel on new or updated processes.
• Perform product and process improvements to reduce waste, improve efficiency and quality, and reduce variability.
• Review assembly operations and component designs to verify manufacturing processes.
• Work with Design Engineers to develop routes and work instructions for new products.
• Research and develop new process designs and technology concepts with peers, suppliers, and industry organizations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions, including collaborating with outside consultants.
• Mentor Process Engineer I’s.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline plus 3+ years of experience, or 5 years of relevant experience without a degree, or an equivalent combination.
• Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, and related software.

Responsibility, Accountability, and Supervisory Responsibilities

May have supervisory duties or lead projects, with the ability to set own schedule within assigned tasks. Responsibilities may include overseeing product design or project execution within the department.
