Job summary

Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing-North is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop production documentation and work instructions, ensuring parts meet customer specifications and quality standards while promoting cost-effective, repeatable methods across operations.

The role covers CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly. You will transition parts to production, establish SOPs, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in metal manufacturing with stamping, CNC, or tooling exposure.
• Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) for fixtures and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows for stamping, CNC machining, and assembly.
• Troubleshoot shop floor equipment and process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Develop SOPs, routings, and work instructions for new parts transitioning to production.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Assist with technical documentation, ECNs, and special projects as assigned.
