Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Process Engineer for our Farmington Hills, MI manufacturing facility. You will optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment and process challenges, and implement improvements to enhance product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.

The role requires a on-site work arrangement, 1st shift hours, and a pay range of $75,000–$85,000 annually. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and ensure safe, efficient production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems.
• Practical understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to evaluate technical problems, analyze manufacturing performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing equipment and processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, product quality, reliability, and overall operational performance.
• Analyze existing production systems and implement process improvements that increase throughput, reduce waste, and lower operating costs.
• Lead process and equipment troubleshooting efforts, providing hands-on support for repairs and calibration to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
• Analyze process performance data, investigate root causes of manufacturing issues, and develop reports with actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Design and deliver employee training on equipment operation, manufacturing procedures, process protocols, and best practices.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment by applying 5S principles and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to plan and execute process improvements, resolve technical challenges, and implement projects.
• Provide occasional off-shift troubleshooting support, including evenings and weekends, to resolve process-related concerns and maintain production performance.
