Antcom Corporation, part of Hexagon Autonomous Solutions, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support Operations, NPI, and CI across groups, onsite in Torrance, California.

You will lead process improvements, DFMs, and Lean initiatives, develop work instructions, fixtures, and shop aids, and collaborate with design and production teams to ensure on-time delivery and high quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years as Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Three+ years leading manufacturing process improvement projects.
  • Experience RCCA or other problem-solving tools.
  • Experience documenting work instructions and procedures.
  • Experience creating fixtures and visual aids.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and CI knowledge.
  • Experience using CI tools (Value Stream Maps, SPC, PFMEA, 5S).
  • Excellent communication; proficient with MS Office/Visio.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or Creo; 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

Overview

Antcom Corporation, part of Hexagon Autonomous Solutions, specializes in quick-turn, customized design of high-quality antenna products. We excel in designing, developing, and manufacturing products for a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, marine, agriculture, and space industries. We are currently searching for a highly motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to support Operations which includes Production, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts across multiple departments.


This role reports to the Senior Supply Chain & Operations Manager and is a key supporting function for cross-department collaboration and communications to ensure successful manufacture of new and existing products. This role offers the opportunity to make a big impact on manufacturing efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of products which are designed into high profile applications from around the world.


The Location:This position is based onsite in Torrance, California


Responsibilities

As Manufacturing Process Engineer, key responsibilities include:



  • Improve quality and efficiency within Operations and Manufacturing processes

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by creating work instructions, fixtures, and shop aids

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), driving pilot builds of new products. Write reports and resolve issues to enable effective Production release

  • Lead and support implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to product design engineers

  • Identify and resolve product quality issues

  • Validate and execute processes and engineering changes

  • Provide technical training on NPI and changes to processes

  • Partner and collaborate with other departments to increase quality and efficiency within Operations


Qualifications

Must-Have:



  • Minimum five years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer (or similar role) or Bachelor’s degree in

  • Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (or related discipline)

  • Minimum three years of experience in leading manufacturing process improvement projects

  • Formal training and strong experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other problem-solving tools

  • Strong experience in creating documentation for work instructions, procedures, and technical reports

  • Strong experience in creating shop aids such as fixtures and visual aids

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CI

  • Experience in using CI tools such as Value Stream Maps, SPC, PFMEA, 5S

  • Excellent communication skills; Ability to clearly and concisely explain technical and conceptual ideas

  • Efficient knowledge of MS Office including Visio

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Creo, or other 3D modeling software

  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally for typically less than one week at a time

  • Must be a U.S. person as Antcom is an ITAR-registered facility

Nice-to-Have:


  • Operational Excellence or CI certifications (i.e. Lean Six-Sigma, Black Belt, Green Belt, Lean Bronze, etc.)

  • Experience leading standardized Kaizen events

  • Experience in providing training and coaching on process improvemen

  • Certified in IPC-J-STD-001

  • Experience with electronics assembly or antenna manufacturing

  • Experience with plastic injection molding or CNC machining

  • Working knowledge of GD&T

  • Experience using Syteline or other ERP systems

  • Knowledge of robustness standards (MIL-STD-810G, DO-160G)

  • Experience working with products for the aerospace or defense industries

Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division provides the following compensation range and a general description of other compensation and benefits. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The Company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range or offer other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state or federal law. Our benefits and bonus plans are reviewed annually and are subject to change at the company’s discretion.


Hiring Salary Range: $87,000 - $139,400 per annum


Bonus Eligibility: We offer a company profit share and individual incentive-based bonus programs.
