Job summary

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Process Engineer to support, develop, and monitor the manufacturing processes at our Hollsopple, PA plant, ensuring cost-effective production of iron powder.

Responsibilities include reducing costs through process changes, educating operators, developing FMEAs, and maintaining QA standards while coordinating with Supply Chain and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing detailed engineering reports.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.

  • Investigates accidents and customer complaints and identifies root causes and corrective actions.
  • Schedules and oversees subcontractors with pre-task planning, EHS review, and contractor passport.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Exhibits leadership capabilities in all aspects of their work.

About the Position

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Process Engineer to work at our Hollsopple, PA plant. This position is responsible for supporting, developing, improving, and monitoring the manufacturing processes to ensure the successful and cost-effective production of iron powder.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots, recommends, and develops solutions through equipment or process changes that reduce costs, increase production, and improve quality, environment, and safety.
  • Educates production members on proper operation of equipment and preventative maintenance.
  • Develops equipment FMEAs and recommends, purchases, and coordinates parts, equipment, and services.
  • Ensures all quality assurance guidelines are followed through the manufacturing process.
  • Provides management reports as requested.
  • Maintains inventory in M3 and works with Supply Chain to establish reorder points.
  • Investigates accidents and customer complaints and identifies root causes and provides corrective actions.
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors including the completion of contractor pre-task planning, EHS review, and contractor passport.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Actively exhibits leadership capabilities in all aspects of their work.
  • Displays conscious awareness of what is required to ensure a sustainable Höganäs.
Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with preferably demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in writing detailed engineering reports.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
