Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • CAD experience; SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Support new products from design review through process development and production launch.
  • Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot product and process issues.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support product development.
  • Drive improvements in quality, scrap, cycle time, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams.

Job description

Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization in the Greater Hollister / Gilroy area. They are looking for a motivated Product Engineer to join their engineering team and support new product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on engineering role supporting products from initial customer requirements and development through production launch and ongoing manufacturing. The right candidate will enjoy working closely with manufacturing and quality teams, solving technical problems, and spending time on the production floor.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Support new products from design review through process development and production launch.
