Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement events such as 5Y, Fishbone, and Kaizen to optimize operations.
- Coordinate lean activities to empower employees, implement standard work, and share best practices.
- Standardize, maintain, and create work instructions and training guides.
- Introduce innovative ideas and technologies, identify areas of opportunity, and develop action plans.
- Apply strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process capability.
- Actively engage with manufacturing floor operators to identify equipment issues, improvement opportunities, and practical solutions that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with suppliers on new product introductions, including prototype procurement, equipment setup, testing, and performance evaluation.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues by performing detailed root cause analysis (e.g., PFMEA, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone); develop and implement long term corrective actions focused on engineering solutions rather than administrative controls.
- Support local and regional engineering initiatives, including continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and standardization efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve operational reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field is highly preferred.
- Around 2 years of experience in production manufacturing; Plastic or Rubber industry experience is advantageous.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing high-dollar strategic projects, including new plant transformations and relocations.
- Proficiency in project management to ensure timely delivery of projects related to scrap & productivity goals, product introduction, OEE, conversion cost, and CAPEX projects.
- Technology-savvy with experience in automation, digitalization procedures, CAD assembly drawings, Tooling Design, Solid Works, AutoCAD 2D, ERP/CRM systems (SAP/ODEN is a plus).
- Expertise in managing CAPEX budget and capital projects.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose processes and equipment, implementing sustainable solutions.
- Experience in data management, document control, and ISO process auditing.
- Strong leadership skills to train and coach peer employees.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $77,000-$142,500 annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
