We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Austin, TX, reporting to the Director, Process Engineering. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes, providing technical support, and maintaining manufacturing methods throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques.
• Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budget.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
• Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of failures, and develop maintenance skills.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers on problem solving and process improvements.
• Contribute to PFMEA development for new products.
• Develop control plans and update work instructions and specifications.
• Design layout of equipment and workspace for efficiency.
• Coordinate with production to ensure product design and tooling efficiency.
• Engage with customers on product specifications and design changes.
• Provide technical and cost analysis information for management decisions.
• Apply statistical methods for manufacturing requirements estimation.

Qualifications:

• 13+ years of SMT and PCBA manufacturing experience.
• Strong expertise in DFM for PCBA (SMT/PTH/HLA).
• Experience with VALOR DFM and related software.
• Knowledge of new production introduction and process development.
• Extensive SMT knowledge and hands-on experience with related equipment.
• Experience with DOE and statistical tools.
• Ability to multitask and work in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
