This is an onsite bilingual role (English - Spanish).

Manufacturing Process Engineer - Hialeah, FL (Cesta)
Job Purpose

Responsible for designing, supporting, and developing manufacturing and fabrication processes. This involves understanding customer requirements, applying quality tools, and pursuing continuous improvement to reduce costs and enhance product quality and reliability. The role reports to the Plant Manager.

As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will support business growth and operations, designing and validating quality components efficiently and safely. Lean Manufacturing principles will be essential to your success.

Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct work measurement studies to improve equipment effectiveness using industrial engineering techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop manufacturing methods for new or revised products, selecting the most cost-effective and safe methods.
  • Document processes clearly, including photographs where applicable.
  • Maintain records of work measurement activities and process improvements.
  • Review and improve work methods to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Design fixtures and equipment to facilitate process improvements.
  • Manage capital projects from selection to implementation.
  • Maintain quality and process control through audits and feedback.
  • Provide technical support to resolve quality issues.
  • Train and educate staff on processes and quality standards.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and improve products and processes, reducing costs and waste.
  • Develop and maintain process control testing procedures.
  • Determine optimal process routing to ensure high quality at minimal cost.
  • Create standard operating procedures and control systems.
  • Assist in new product introductions, monitoring quality and manufacturability.
  • Coordinate plant layouts using lean manufacturing principles such as set-up reduction, visual management, and flow optimization.
  • Document projects and stay updated on industry technology advances.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience; 5+ years preferred.
  • Experience managing capital projects.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
