Job summary

L'Oreal USA, Inc, Florence, AL is hiring a Manufacturing Pre-weigher for 2nd shift. You will operate scales, pumps, mixers and handle materials for pre-weighing chemicals, coordinating chemical requests to the warehouse and ensuring GMP-compliant procedures are followed.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within the Florence plant, with opportunities to train on forklift operation and contribute to production efficiency while maintaining strict cleanliness and documentation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Electrical knowledge useful for equipment maintenance.
• Mechanical knowledge helpful for pumps and mixers.
• Chemical mixing experience in a similar industry preferred.
• Computer knowledge desirable for inventory and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate scales, pumps, mixing and material handling equipment for pre-weighing chemicals.
• Prepare requests for chemicals from Pre-weigh listing to the warehouse.
• Support safety culture and plant safety mission of zero accidents.
• Support and align with Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.
• Work cooperatively with others and foster Florence Manufacturing teamwork.
• Follow procedures to pre-weigh batches safely and efficiently.
• Request chemicals from the warehouse as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs including cleaning, sampling, documentation, and sanitation of equipment.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or material issues that affect safety or quality.
• Operate Forklift Truck after training through L'Oreal USA.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area and equipment.

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Processing Supervisor, general responsibilities of this position include the operation of scales, pumps, mixing, and material handling equipment for the pre-weigh of chemicals; preparation of requests for chemicals from Pre-weigh listing to the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
• Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.
• Respectfully, through words and actions, work cooperatively with others. Embrace team spirit of Florence Manufacturing.
• Follows prescribed procedures to accurately pre-weigh batches in a safe and efficient manner.
• Request chemicals from the warehouse.
• Follow G.M.P's to ensure that compounds are of high quality and free of contaminants. G.M.P's include cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, proper sampling and handling of materials, and appropriate documentation of activities.
• Notifies the supervisor of existing or potential problems with equipment or materials which may jeopardize employee safety and/or product quality.
• Ability to operate Forklift Truck upon completing appropriate training through L'Oreal USA.
• Responsible for housekeeping in work location, including washing of pumps, drums, utensils, wiping down of equipment and using floor scrubbing equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
